Invitation to the Congress

Dear Colleague,
The Italian Society for Plant Pathology (SIPAV) and the Italian Association for Crop Protection (AIPP) warmly invite you to attend the 9th International Congress of Plant Pathology at Torino, August 24-29, 2008.
The two Societies will guarantee an outstanding Congress Programme as well as an unforgettable experience in Italy. We are sure that you realize how much a trip to Italy is always a "tour artistique". There are so many artistic treasures and of such quality that to describe Italy as an open-air art gallery in its own right is hardly an exaggeration. And then there is its extraordinary natural richness. Torino, the hosting city, is a very elegant and regal city, testifying the age-old heritage and culture of Italy. The geographical position of Torino puts this city at the crossroads of Europe. Torino is easy to reach by plane, car and train. Many daily flights link Torino to the main Italian and European cities, while a very efficient railway and motorway network guarantees fast and easy journeys.
Torino, the 2006 Winter Olympic city, will provide you with totally unexpected emotions together with an outstanding Congress.

However, for many fat people, the problem of weight loss is beyond an academic one. It is actually real and some people - the ‘un-fat’ ones who have never been on for assistance, the ones lucky enough to be born ectomorphs – just feel that fat people are not trying hard enough. Some might say that fat people are too lazy. In their opinion, if someone wants to be thin real bad enough there’s bound to be some positive results through their actions. What they do not realize is that before they ever meet a fat person, the fat person would have already gone through hundreds of get-slim therapies all to no avail. Some might argue that they have a lust for food that supersedes the natural. Again, we beg to disagree. Many fat people are usually on a diet, and a fat person is apt to say ‘I’m on a diet’ before a slim one, no matter how ridiculous that might seem to the self-righteous pricks However, this is far from the truth, and it can actually be discouraging when you hear people say things like that.
